Alex Delgado. Director of Strategic Initiatives and Evangelism of Teen Challenge SoCal. The Cuban refugee shares his powerful story of coming to America on a boat to escape the tyranny of communism, only to suffer a tyranny of his own making. Experiencing his first violent trauma at the age of 4 while riding his bike, Alex takes us on a journey of the seemingly endless battle with addiction and finally surrendering to the will of God. Walking onto the enticing floor of the Chicago stock exchange at 17 years old, introduced the young alcoholic to another addiction that would plague his life for years. Alex exposes a powerful truth that was literally revealed to him during the extended conversation.

The former heroin addict who became youth pastor of one of the fastest growing youth groups in America talks about the Arise Conference. An event taking place at the Big Fresno Fair October 16. It is held by Teen Challenge SoCal, a Christ-centered life changing ministry that has helped countless lives come out of addictions and live a productive life of sobriety through the power of God’s love.
