All Fixed Annuities will have an end of term minimum guarantee!

Assumed/non-guaranteed and guaranteed accumulation value columns are on most annuity illustrations.

A Multi-Year Guarantee Annuity (MYGA) will have matching values in these two columns until the end of the guarantee/surrender period. Unfortunately, not all MYGA carriers offer illustrations. The guaranteed values on a MYGA may still show a surrender charge if a 30 day exit window exists. However, those surrender charges will be waived during that window and the accumulation value will be available. After that window expires, the surrender charges will apply again and the rate will never be less than the contractual minimum guaranteed rate.

Most Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA) do have illustrations and outline the minimum guaranteed values at the end of the surrender period. The non-guaranteed accumulation values are sometimes called the hypothetical or assumed values.

The strongest guarantee in any fixed annuity is the contractual minimum guarantee. These currently range for 2.00% all the way down to 0.10%. A big spread there.
