What are fractionalized NFTs and why is Feisty Doge $NFD mooning?

This is Feisty Doge and it was sold on an auction together with the rest of the Doge memes as NFTs a couple months back. This one in particular went for 13 ETH, but that's not what makes it special. This Doge is not a regular Doge; it’s fractionalized. There are 100 billion erc-20 tokens that represent its fractions and it’s creator Cryptopathic claims it’s the next step in DOGE tokens.
