Difference Between a Clinical Neuroscientist and a Neurologist

I have a few patients that, after they see me, they take my protocols to their neurologists, and the Neurologist invariably pulls the patient off the protocol that I just put them on. So what is the difference between a clinical neuroscientist and a neurologist?
