Have you ever heard of the put/call ratio? Well, don't worry if you haven't, I'm going to explain exactly what it is and why this professional trading indicator, or contrary in indicator, is showing that we might be in for a bottom, at least temporarily, in the stock market.

Take a look with me at the put/call ratio, (the CBOE Equity Call Ratio). This is at 1.46 as of November 16th this year.

You can see that over the last couple of months it has never been anywhere near this high except for a few times this month. But it gets even more interesting when we take a look at a longer time frame going back to 2018. The only time it ever came close to its peak right now of 1.4, was in March of 2020 when it hit 1.28.
