Pepadun is taken from the word "Cakak Pepadun" which means the oversized chair where the traditional head sits during traditional ceremonies. b. Candidates for Punyimbang ride on the jempana to go astray accompanied by the punyimbang.
c. Dancing the Cangget Igel dance simultaneously.
d. Candidates for punybalan are seated on pepadun.
e. One of the punymbang who has been appointed announces the highest title of kepunyimbangan from the Cakak Pepadun and its position in adat.

Someone who has cakak pepadun then he has become a punymbang and has the right to use the title of suttan and has the right to manage the members of his family under his care.
