Andrea M. Dietrich started Joy of Satan Ministries, often known as Joy of Satan (JoS), as a website and western esoteric occult organization in 2002. (a.k.a. Maxine Dietrich). Joy of Satan Ministries promotes "Spiritual Satanism," an ideology that combines Theistic Satanism, Nazism, Gnostic Paganism, Western esotericism, UFO conspiracy theories, and alien ideas popularized by Zecharia Sitchin and David Icke.

Members regard Satan as "the true father and creator God of humanity," whose desire was for his creations, humanity, to advance through knowledge and understanding.

They have sparked significant debate due to their anti-Semitic beliefs and ties to a former chairman of the National Socialist Movement, an American Neo-Nazi organization.
CrossCurrents integrates the wisdom of the heart with the mind's life and the body's experiences. The publication is run by the Association for Public Religion and Intellectual Life (APRIL), an interreligious network of academics, activists, artists, and community leaders interested in the numerous ways religion intersects with the public. Contributions to the journal are found in the intersection of religion, education, the arts, and social justice.
