Police block protestors from accessing St Andrews square acting under the orders of Sandy Grant from the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.

“Open The Gates!” Aussie Cossack commands his followers facing a line of NSW Police.
A chant lead by Cossack “You serve us!” rises while the crowd fronted by Guru opens the gates from the police officers hold.

Rather than moving in riot police and cavalry on close standby, or escalating with pepper spray, Police hold fast and let the crowd pass to the rally point.

“We do not stand under any of you guys!” Shouts Guru in response to Dale of the peacemakers call for the crowd to follow police directions and move off the roadway and return to the square “We’re obstructing pedestrian traffic” and “Someone could get hurt if we could just get everyone to… “.

The officers having stood back for 10 minutes since Aussie Cossack lead his followers to open the gates free of their hold, now face a crowd divided.
“We gotta clear this path” from Dale, “We will not comply!” lead by Smokin Joe.
Guru marches forward to shout towards the officers “you have no jurisdiction!
