US Soccer Team REMOVES American Flag from Patch | The Chad Prather Show

We do in fact have a U.S. soccer team, and the team will in fact be going to the World Cup in Qatar soon. Who cares, right? Well, they’re about to precipitate some pretty unpleasant feelings on the part of the people who will be hosting them, because they decided recently to replace the red, white, and blue base of their uniform crest with rainbow colors. And why? Because, of course, LGBTQ people need support. So, here’s the problem I have with this, and I’m guessing it’s the problem you have with it, too. Identity is a funny thing. When we compete on the world stage, in any sort of international event, we are representing American exceptionalism, American fortitude, American ingenuity … the list goes on. What we’re representing is America as a whole, the melting pot into which we have poured all races, faiths, ethnicities, and even sexual preferences.
