Linda Jo Strahm joins us to talk about what happened to her husband Terry in an American Hospital regarding the Covid Protocols. On 1-11-2022 6:17 PM RN Belinda C Fitch , Palliative Care, spoke with Terry Strahm at bedside as his stats were 88% but he was not in distress on high flow at 100%. Told Terry his next step was BiPAP, then intubation. Fitch states, “ Granddaughter (23 year old) came in to room. ”Granddaughter asked by RN Belinda C Fitch, Pallative Care, “Encouraged Terry to talk to granddaughter regarding long term goals, as granddaughter is a RN nurse. Terry told granddaughter that he would not want a Tracy, a feeding tube, or live in ECF. Granddaughter asked him if he is ok with intubation, if needed. Terry stated, ‘yes for a little while, but I don’t want to just lay there…”
