Jeff Stewart - 1/24th Infantry, Zabul Afghanistan

Jeff Stewart was a battle space owning commander in Zabul Province. Zabul is located in South Central AFG, and was a highly contested region. Zabul is essentially the cradle of the Taliban. One of Zabul's iconic figures was Mullah Omar.

Pete A Turner and friend of the show Richard Ledet worked with LTC Stewart during his 2011-2012 deployment. When Pete talks about being at the height of his powers in combat, it's this time he's referring to. Similarly, Jeff was uniquely qualified at the battalion level to achieve success. Combined, Pete, Rich and Jeff sought to accomplish some true progress.
