Ben Nevis hike in summer Scotland

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom and the British Isles.
The summit is 1345 metres, 4413 ft above sea level
Ben Nevis is at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Highland region of Lochaber, very close to the town of Fort William.

I did this walk up on Monday 18th July 2022 which was the hottest day in the UK.
Fortunately I started at 6am when it was still cool and got to the top at 11.30am.
I am a slow walker as this should have taken just 3.5hrs to summit but I took 5.5hrs, helps that I was in no rush.
The walk up starts easy for a short part but then gets steeper as the path winds up round the mountain, its almost like just walking up steps.
As you go further up all of a sudden round a bend you are greeted with a flat easy slightly uphill path which is a nice rest of a sort .
After the waterfall about half way up the path remains easy but then all of a sudden becomes treacherous with rocks and boulders as the path.
This is the part which is the most challenging as you must be careful of your footing so as not to hurt your ankle.
Nearer the summit the path gets less naughty and is more gravel of a sort and your greeted by the cairn stones just before the summit.
I was most grateful that it was warm and clear at the summit which my video shows.
This resulted in me relaxing here for 2.5hrs (yes I was knackered) before my descent at 2pm.
Halfway down the mountain I began to feel the heat and was so glad I started at 6am
I reached the bottom just before 7pm and what was interesting was that people were still going up at 5.30pm, which I think they will get to see an amazing sunset from the summit.
