Meekness is not Weakness - Ravi Chandran

In the adults service, Ravi will continue with the Sermon On The Mount series as we explore Matthew 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.”

Being meek must not be mistaken as being weak. Weakness is an inability while meekness is ability under control. When one is meek, his or her reliance is on a higher source. As sheep are to the Shepherd. The Shepherd cares for the sheep and protects it from wolves.

The meek will inherit the earth. If we look at the Shepherd/sheep relationship, it is the wolves that are the endangered species today, while the population of sheep have grossly outgrown them. The Shepherd still looks after the sheep. Likewise, the Lord looks after His followers.
