The Book of Psalms - Chapters 34 Through 37

This is Psalms Chapters 34 through 37 – Instrumental piano songs include – “Holy, Holy, Holy” a traditional hymn written in the 1800’s by Heber and Dykes. I’ve added some impromptu piano music led of the Holy Spirit of my own, as well as “The Battle Belongs to the Lord” originally written by Jamie Owens Collins in 1984.
As a musician, singer and psalmist myself, I decided to do a little different format for this audio book reading, as Psalms is a very special book of the bible to me. I’ve added my own piano and instrumentation as a backdrop, along with photographic images of nature donated to me by friends, family and audio book listeners. It is read from my own personal King James version of the bible.
Unlike the regular audio book readings that I do, each one of these videos for the Psalms takes multiple hours of time between the recording of the reading and the recording of the piano music and then the hours it takes to find and crop the images to put the video together. I may only be able to produce these as time and resources permit.

Psalms, a collection of lyrical poems, is one of only two Old Testament books to identify itself as a composite work containing multiple authors (Proverbs is the other). Some psalms name their author in the first line or title. For example, Moses wrote Psalm 90. David was responsible for many of them, composing seventy-three psalms. Asaph wrote twelve; the descendants of Korah penned ten. Solomon wrote one or two, and Ethan and Heman the Ezrahites were responsible for two others. The remainder of the psalms do not contain information about their authors.
The book was originally titled Tehillim, which means “praise songs” in Hebrew. The English title of “Psalms” originated from the Septuagint’s Greek title Psalmoi, also meaning “songs of praise.”1
