When I was younger, the expression "know your place" filled me with defiant refusal to do so. The benefit of age and the wisdom that comes with it has altered my perspective.
Yes, I realize I made a mistake - the film has it as 'temet nosce' - which is an aphorisation of the 'proper' Latin phrase 'nosce te ipsum' - both of which translate as "Know Thyself"... ah well, no one's perfect. ;)
