Steve Allgood, a 33-year husband and father was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in June of 2018. He was given 9 -18 months to live at that time, but with research and alternative treatments he is still here today. Getting the diagnosis caused him to have severe anxiety and bouts of depression as he faced his own mortality. It also brought up childhood trauma that had been buried away for quite some time. While doing research Steve came across the possible benefits of psychedelic treatments to help with the issues he was facing. He has found great success in his treatments with psychedelic therapy, partaking in psilocybin treatment among others. "Since using psilocybin, it has eased my fear and anxiety of death and has given me a greater outlook on life" steve said, adding it has also helped him heal from some of that childhood trauma that re-emerged upon diagnosis.
