Making the Yggdrasil

After cutting my Nonagon and laser engraving the outline of Yggdrasil. I used a gel matte to paint the lines. And sprinkled my Sapele wood sawdust. Creating a 3D Yggdrasil tree.

After it was completed I used my laser engraver to burn the shading of the tree. I also used my liguid Gold leaf to paint the some of the intertwined branches and vines.

This piece was donated as an auction item for the Honor flights taking veterans to DC
