Are We Safer Today Then on 9-11-01?

One of the all important things that need to be evaluated is whether we are safer today after the shocking awakening of an Islamic Jihad on American soil 21 years ago that resulted with the deaths of 3,000 people. Have we learned anything? Have we improved how we protect America? OR Have we simply opened the doors to the enemy?
