Large saltwater crustaceans belonging to the family Nephropidae, sometimes known as Homaridae, are known as lobsters. Lobsters have long, slender bodies with strong tails, and they burrow into the sea bottom or reside in cracks for shelter. Claws are present on three of their five pairs of legs, including the first pair of legs, which are often significantly bigger than the rest in size.
