These breeds are all in the herding or shepherd category, but not all herders are the same.

I break up the herding and shepherding dogs. Collies vs. GSD

- German Shepherds
- Coat and structure
- More thoughtful
- Slower to develop physically and confidence
- Not as high strung

- Malinois
- Coat and structure
- Sport lines vs Working lines vs our lines
- Anticipate more what they think you want and act on it quickly
- Develop confidence fast and can have slightly more aggression issues because of that
- More mellow than our Dutch lines, but more amped up than GSD

- Dutch Shepherd
- Coat and structure
- All have Malinois blood from the early 1900s
- More spun up than our other breeds
- Extremely agile, almost cat like
- Develops confidence quickly, but do seem to develop in bite work slightly slower than Malinois
