Linux Gaming Wasn't Always A Pariah to Game Devs, Why Tho?

In the late 90s and early 2000s, gaming was still very exploratory. Linux gaming was actually something companies, like Epic, was seriously considering. This is just one example of what some of the games that pioneered modern gaming did and experimented with, until Valve came along and shifted the game.
