Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls

We went to the grocery store and they had pillsbury cinnamon rolls on clearance. They were selling 10 cans for .97 cents because they only had a few days until they expired. We bought 4 cans and decided to use them to make a yummy dessert. We searched for a fun recipe to try but never found exactly what we were looking for. We made this recipe up and were very pleased with the outcome. Give it a try and let us know what you think. - Michele

Ingredients:

1 Granny Smith Apple, Diced
1 1/2 TB Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 cup Sugar
1 pkg Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll

Topping:
1 TB Butter, Melted
Cinnamon Sugar (1/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon mixed)

Add diced apples, cinnamon, 1/4 cup sugar & flour. Microwave on high 3 minutes. Roll out cinnamon rolls to 5 inch rounds. Place a heaping TB of apples on each rolled out cinnamon roll. Pull dough up around the apples and pinch to seal into a ball. Dip the smooth side of the ball into the melted butter and then into cinnamon sugar. Place roll pinched side down into a muffin tin and cut a slit in the top. Repeat for the remaining rolls. Bake @ 350 degrees for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
