In Loving Memory of Patrice O'Neal (Audio Compilation)

in 2011, we lost a comedic genius, a brilliant philosopher and a leader of men. Patrice O’Neal’s wisdom impacted many lives, including my own, with his unique perspectives on life, women, and the world we live in. To celebrate his life, I put together this compilation, which includes 4 segments. The first is from O&A, when Jim Norton, Rich Vos, Colin Quinn, Bobby Kelly and Keith Robinson first broke the news that Patrice was in the hospital after suffering from a stroke, which led to one of the greatest roasting sessions in O&A history, in Patrice’s honor. The second segment is from Ron & Fez, when Ronnie B broke the news that Patrice had passed away. This show featured some of the most heartfelt and thoughtful calls from fans who truly loved him, whose sentiments perfectly describe how devastating it was to lose someone we all felt so close to. The third segment is from the following day on O&A, when fellow comedians called in and came into studio to commemorate his life by sharing hilarious stories of their experiences with Patrice. They also played clips of some of their favorite moments. The show featured Jim Norton, Rich Vos, Bob Kelly, Jim Florentine, Joe Rogan, Joe DeRosa, Colin Quinn, Bill Burr, Kurt Metzger, Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Dave Attell and Russ Meneve. The fourth and final segment in this video is from Patrice’s appearance on Unmasked, hosted by Ron Bennington, which is an excellent interview and a great listen for anyone, from long-time fans to the fans who recently discovered the genius that was Patrice O’Neal.
