Is Donkey Kong Country 2 the best SNES platformer? Yes. As a kid I loved DKC2 so much that even the manual blew my mind. I studied all the enemies, their names, their weaknesses, their descriptions, and I just loved everything about DKC2. It's a shame Donkey Kong never had another adventure this great!

As a kid I played DKC2 more times than I can count. I used to daydream about The Lost World wondering what was inside that crocodile statue with the rainbow lights. That place was the "true ending" stage where the Kaptain K Rool boss fight happens if you 100% the game. There is a cheat in the first stage if you can't find all the bonus barrels to get 100%
