The Medicare Part B Premium should decrease in 2023.
Here is how much I expect and why. The big deal is "Why". I expect that this video will have some of the most frustrating and deeply disturbing information you have heard in many years. Even more, while it definitely impacts Medicare, it also goes well beyond Medicare into almost every facet of your life. This will be different than anything else I have produced. But I feel it is a video I have to make.

In late 2021 Medicare announced the largest percent increase in the Medicare Part B premium in its history, 14.50%. More than twice the rate of inflation as was reported by the CPI at the time.
The base Medicare Part B premium increased from $148.50 to $170.10 a month with the stroke of a pen by the department of Health and Human Services. The base premium refers to the rate for those whose modified adjusted gross income was reported as $91,000 / year of less in 2020. $182,000 for joint filers.
The reason for the increase was credited to a new Alzheimer’s drug produced by Biogen called Aduhelm. Aduhelm is a new type of drug called a monoclonal antibody treatment that focuses on clearing specific plaque in the brain called Amyloid Beta. A 2006 research study indicated Amyloid beta was the plaque that caused Alzheimer’s. Biogen intended on charging $56,000 for the series of infusions they suggested as a full dosage.
