Mortgage Rates came in at 6.64 percent on a 30 year fixed today.

Oil change today…went well. Do you change your own oil?

Showed 3 houses today..all in the same price range

1. First house, had bathroom on the main floor, a small bedroom, dated kitchen. The backyard had an above ground pool, which couldn’t really be inspected at this time of year. Two nice bedrooms upstairs, each with their own A/C units, which was really nice. Main problem was that you had to basically go from your bedroom downstairs to use the bathroom/shower, not an ideal situation

2. Second house, much smaller, only about 800 square feet. The house was really cute but the bedrooms were so small that you couldn’t fit a full size or larger bed. The basement was nice and you could tell a lot of work had been done but there was an AWFUL smell coming from one of the rooms…which was bad. Probably wouldn’t have bought the house anyway but the smell definitely didn’t help

3. House number 3 was in an interesting location. Very large backyard. The problem with this house was that the only bathroom was located on the 2nd floor so if you ever had guests, they would have to go upstairs to use the bathroom, which also had lower ceilings. The kitchen was not great either.

All the homes were priced relatively the same. When I asked my buyers which one they would choose they said number one, and I said number 2..so we were not on the same page, which usually means that an offer is not forthcoming.
