Catching Mew in Pokemon Blue

Originally planned to be a full LongPlay of pokemon blue..
Instead this shows off the earliest possible method to catch mew.

Step 1: Catch an Abra(The hard part)
Step 2: Put abra in your team(for teleport)
Step 3: Go offscreen near the trainer in the grass that spawns abra.
Step 4: Go towards the trainer and hit "START" before you finish moving.
Step 5: Use abra's teleport.
Step 6: Go fight the slowpoke trainer past nugget bridge (make him move)
Step 7: Use abra's teleport
Step 8: Re-enter nugget bridge, exit the menu when it pops up.
Step 9: Catch Mew.
