Steam is cleaning up their store by adding new rules about what can be shown on the graphical image of games that you see when you’re browsing the Steam store.
They’re basically saying that everything has gotten too messy as most developers are bombarding their game banners with various reviews and rewards.
So now they’re making it so those game banners can’t show review scores, awards names, various discounts, no graphics promoting a different product & no random text.
And they’re doing this so they’d make the browsing experience of general consumers easier & clearer.
And they will be adding a new way of showing off awards & such in a bit of a nicer, cleaner, less distracting way.
