What Happened to BBC Radio WM ? Weekday Shows Saved From The Axe

The BBC has confirmed to BirminghamLive that BBC Radio WM weekday shows will be saved from cuts. The broadcaster announced a fresh round of proposed cuts yesterday, Monday October 31, to all of its local radio stations.

But they were unable to confirm the fate of BBC Radio WM's weekend programming, which means its weekend schedule could be in for the axe. The BBC confirmed that 48 jobs in local radio are set to go, announcing a "multi-media" merger that will "bring its local news teams together across radio, tv and online for the first time."
