Why Soma lives rent free in my head

Soma is a game that asks many uncomfortable questions and conveys them through a number of horror elements. Some of Soma's horror is immediate and surface deep, prompting a visceral instinctive reaction of horror and fright. But even more sinister and effective is the horror of existential dread and questions of the nature of humanity and the truth of our existence that forces deep contemplation and a slow, deep, creeping terror to blossom in the players mind. A horror game like no other, this game has stuck in the back of my brain even now, a thorn of nagging disquiet and terrible knowing.
