The Special Weapons sites - The Heavy Crossbow Report

It was late in the War before the British begun to suspect what the German rocket programs actually were, and later still before the urgently began to formulate a plan on how to destroy or counter these new weapons.
We obtained the original war time Operation Crossbow report AND the subsequent post war research paper as allied inspectors set foot inside the huge German special bunkers designed to either launch these weapons and projectiles, or as the reports stated "other larger unknown weapons" The records show a clear discrepancy between what we are told today and what they saw at the time.
Also the German programs themselves have since been questioned due to the speed they developed and implemented their rockets and jets. '
So over the next episodes I will cover the special launch sites and the development of the Rockets and the V3 gun. And ask the questions raised in these reports.
This first episode will cover the parallel development of the 2 main rocket weapons, and show you the full war time training materials on how these were launched and how their launching sites changed design.
Finally we will visit one of the small V1 launch sites which became so much more dangerous to the allies than the enormous bunkers did.
