Is it possible to get a 20% return from trading every month?

Good question!

No, it is absolutely impossible. You would be very lucky to maintain that pace for even 12 months, much less 24 or 36 months. For example, if you started with 100,000 and could without fail return 20% per month you would in 100 months have over 8 trillion in your trading account (ignoring taxes).

By the nature of this question, I think it would be good for you to find a mentor that can help educate you about the compounding of money.

The time you invest learning how to read charts and try to predict what will happen based on the chart of prior price history is time that is better spent learning about fundamentals that drive value. Further, you also should get some education about more than just trading stocks.

To really make money you need to have a good education about what sorts of strategies can work and what sorts of strategies can’t work. Any strategy that involves you earning 20% per month for the long term will fail. That does not mean perhaps for a few months or even a year you might get lucky and maintain it but it simply is not a realistic plan to get wealthy.
