XRP and XLM were "Secret Bitcoin Projects" by the Establishment

XLM was nicknamed by Jed McCaleb (former Ripple CTO) himself as the "Secret Bitcoin Project".
Why bitcoin and why secret?

Secret because it was supposed to be a bitcoin 2.0 but enabled the Established Legacy Bankers on WallStreet to assert some control over the new financial system (unlike Bitcoin which was a public ledger and truly decentralised). It was supposed to be similar to Bitcoin in terms of value moved but be faster, cleaner (energetically), cheaper and most importantly - have a private ledger and a bigger liquidity pool access than Bitcoins scarce supply that would allow private bankers to send money on the blockchain with more discretion. In comes Ripple and Stellar which solved those issues - having both a public and a private ledger, and frictionless transfer of money.

Jed McCaleb, Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen are the establishment unbeknownest to the public. Their projects were funded for that precise reason - be a competitor to Bitcoin and destroy bitcoin by competition. If you can't join them, beat them.

Rumours and whispers stipulate that Bitcoin was created by Putin to bypass the IMF and SWIFT sanctions. If this is correct, it would mean USA was threatened by this and needed to come up with an alternative.
