Pokemon Go maker Niantic is having to cut costs by laying off about 8% of their staff & scrapping multiple projects.
Niantic's CEO said that this is due to the fact that the company is facing economic turmoil.
So I guess this is what happens when you have 1 wildly successful game & all of your follow-up games just don’t catch on.
Which are also basically the same game but with a different IP & slightly different gameplay.
Anyways they’re working on an NBA game now, where players will collect NBA stars, buff them & take on other players… huh sounds pretty familiar.
