Valve makes some Steam Decks worse than others

Valve has made some of the Steam decks slower than others & there’s not really anything you can do about it.
So basically the specs have changed & apparently some models are shipping with the original SSD’s spec.
Which runs at Gen3 on 4 lanes & now some other models have drives that run at also Gen3 but only on 2 lanes.
Which means there’s literally only half of the original spec’d bandwidth available to the drive.
Valve has probably done this to help with the supply constraints & they say there shouldn’t be a difference in gaming performance.
Which doesn’t really matter because we don’t have any 3d party testing yet & the Steam deck is a full computer so you can do a lot more than just play games.
Not a big fan at all, but it is what it is.
