Why Is The White House "Keeping An Eye" on Twitter?

White House Press Secretary answered a question from a reporter "concerned" about what's happening with Twitter. This reporter wanted to know what the White House was doing about Elon Musk and the platform.
KJP's answer? They were keeping an eye on things.
Why? Since when does the White House keep tabs on private businesses? This is the ever growing authoritarian danger that the Biden Administration is for all Americans.
Also, the US beat Iran to advance in the World Cup, and Iranians are happy about it. Because just like the Chinese citizens, the Iranians are tired of their authoritarian regime.
