How to prepare and season a new griddle is easy to do and will be a great addition to your cooking arsenal. First you need to clean the griddle surface with hot soapy water and a wash cloth and then turn the griddle on and keep it on high for 30 minutes before applying oil. Use a good oil and rub it in every 5 minutes up to 5 times and this will make the surface non stick.
