What an awesome use for new or old wood. Learn to make a Christmas tree from dimensional lumber. The trees can be configured in any pattern. A wider gap allows for less material and places to put decorations.
Below I have listed the materials and tools I used for this holiday project.

Materials used:
1- 4"x6"x8' Pine board
1- 4"x4"x8' Pine board
2- 2"x3"x8' Pine board
5- 1"x4"x8' Pine board
2- 1"x5'"x8' Pine board
2- 1"X6"X6' Redwood Picket
Tite bond 3 wood glue
50- 3" flush trim screws

Tools used:
Metabo 15 gauge nail gun with 2" nails
Drill with 1/8" Forstner Bit
Impact drill with T20 star bit
Dewalt random Orbital sander with 120 grit paper
Dewalt 12" miter saw
Makita 7 1/4" Skill Saw
