The strongest instinct for humans is to escape, survive, or avoid suffering. The instinct of survival can impact the way we interpret scriptures that pertain to the end times. Many theories have stemmed from this view including the rapture theory. Over the years, the Church of God culture has been influences by an idea of a place of safety. Some in our culture are teaching that God's throne, or the sea of glass will be the place where Christian's escape the great & terrible day of the Lord. What does the Bible say?
