He started his musical activity in high school where he studied, mixing influences from punk and electronics. He replaced rapper Skunk-founder of Planet Hemp-on several shows. When he died, he was definitely in the band on the occasion of the album "Usuário".

His career took off as lead singer and lyricist for Planet Hemp, a band that continues to play shows throughout Brazil.

In 2003, his band BNegão & Seletores de Frequência released the CD Enxugando o Gelo. The album was released by BNegão himself to be downloaded via the internet, through the band's website, becoming one of the first Brazilian artists to embrace the concepts of Copyleft and Creative Commons.
