Nothing beats seeing orchids livin' la vida. Ideal temperatures with rain pouring over their structures is a combination that I can never get enough of. Dendrobium victoriae-reginae has a reputation of being a cool grower, but she is growing well in S'ern Spain where my summers can reach temperatures to 40ºC /104ºF with absolutely no humidity to speak of. I have my dendrobium victoriae-reginae mounted on cork bark and it has established itself for 4 years on this mount, and naturally populated moss has made it's home there now as well. The whole set up with the fresh green background of the hedge, is just a beautiful sight.
