We had French Toast for breakfast today. I'll share that recipe in a few, but here is my Hot Buttermilk Syrup that goes on it! It is also yummy on pancakes or waffles. So, so, so, so good!!!!! Y'all go make you some!

Hot Buttermilk Syrup
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp baking soda
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla & buttermilk. Bring just to a boil, stirring constantly and remove from heat immediately. Stir in baking soda. It will foam up, keep stirring. Serve warm. Remainder can be jarred and refrigerated for 3 - 4 weeks. Just warm before serving.
