Sunday Longplay - Batman (NES)

This week on Sunday Longplay is a game I've wanted to play on this channel for a long time but never got around to until now. Welcome to Batman on the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Movie-based games more often than not tend to suck, but Batman says otherwise. Sunsoft in general tends to make really good movie-licensed games, and Batman is one of them! The game follows the Tim Burton movie starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, with Batman on a mission to avenge the death of his parents at the hands of the Joker.

The gameplay is addicting, giving Batman a basic punch and three different bat weapons to take down baddies on the way to the Joker, and he also has a wall jump a la Ninja Gaiden to help get him around, which you'll have to really get used to later on. The end result is one of the best games in the NES library, but also one of the hardest in a good way.
