What is Amnesia: The Bunker?

Amnesia: The Bunker is an upcoming fourth installment of the Amnesia series under development by Frictional Games. It was first announced on December 1, 2022 and is scheduled to be released in March 2023.

The game will be set during World War 1, where the player will take on the role as the French soldier Henri Clément, as he tries to figure out the mysteries of the eponymous bunker, while at the same time trying to find his way out of it.

Frictional Games describes the game as being semi-open world, with elements of the game being randomized, allowing for greater levels of replayability. Deviating from past entries in the Amnesia franchise, The Bunker also introduces several new mechanics, such as a crafting system and the ability for the player to defend themselves using a revolver.
