2016 Year End - Foums, Searches and Wood Screw Techniques

As 2016 comes to a close I would like to encourage members and viewers to visit and even participate in the FORUMS on woodworkweb, it's easy, fun and informative ... and for those who wonder about how to prevent wood from cracking when using wood screws (or flat head screws) and when pre-drilling and countersinking should be used. I am demonstrating using both hardwood, softwood and MDF what happens with and without countersinking AND best of all, what to do when you don't have a countersink bit handy, what you can do to help prevent cracking.
