Current War Situation in Ukraine at the end of October 9th, 2022

Border territories of the Russian Federation:

Ukrainian formations shelled the St. Nicholas Monastery in the village of Gornal, Kursk region.

Starobelsk direction

In the Kupyansky sector, units of the 14th Ombre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing on the defensive positions of Russian forces at the Olshana-Pershotravneve line.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sinkovka, and the Russian DRG destroyed the enemy stronghold on the southern outskirts of Kupyansk-Uzlovy.

The Ukrainian command continues to concentrate forces on the front line for a further offensive on Svatovo and Kremennaya.

Soledar direction

The Wagner PMC units have established full control over Zaitsevo. On the remaining sectors of the front, as the positional battles continue.

Lugansk region

Ukrainian formations launched a strike from the HIMARS MLRS at the temporary accommodation center for refugees in Starobilsk. Several civilians were wounded.

Donetsk direction

Ukrainian formations again shelled Donetsk, Makiivka, Panteleymonovka, Yasinovataya, Gorlovka, Yakovlevka and Zaitsevo. There are casualties among civilians.

Zaporozhye direction

The Ukrainian command continues to pull personnel and armored vehicles to Orekhov and Gulyaipol.

Russian rocket troops and artillery attacked enemy positions in Gulyaipolsky, Poltavka, Charivnoye and Svobodny.

Southern Front Nikolaevsko-Berislavsky section

The sabotage and reconnaissance group of the 63rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to penetrate the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in Maksimovka, but came under fire and retreated to the starting lines.

Units of the 46th separate airmobile brigade tried to storm the Russian positions near the village of Sadok. Soldiers of the RF Armed Forces repelled the attack.

The Ukrainian command is transferring armored vehicles of the 17th tank brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Belyaevka area. The forces of the 60th Infantry Brigade are on full alert before a possible attack on Pyatikhatki.
