I think I have optical flow working in my Deforum mod...

First vid is output with adjusted colors and sharpness. No frame blending. 2nd vid is grayscale. 3rd vid is 1/3rd speed so you can check the frames out. Original rendered at 640x384. Edited & enlarged to 1920x1080 with Vegas Pro 19.
