Roger Stone asked my take on Kevin McCarthy becoming Speaker of the House.

McCarthy needs 218 votes to become Speaker. There are 221 Republicans that could give him the vote. As it stands, there are at least 5 who are going to vote "No":

•Matt Gaetz (FL)
•Andy Biggs (AZ)
•Matt Rosendale (MT)
•Ralph Norman (SC)
•Bob Good (VA)

In May of 2022, there was a vote to send $40 billion to Ukraine, and McCarthy voted yes to do this. Of the 57 Republicans who voted to not send the money to Ukraine, the aforementioned men were part of the "No" vote.

McCarthy also used FTX money to go after America First candidates (like Joe Kent) through his PACs.
