Audio Only-Great Horned Owl Begging Call/Territory Hoots 🦉 12/07/22 05:51

Early this morning, our beloved Great Horned Owls were heard off-cam. The female did her usual begging call to her mate, while he answers her back. After the begging calls are done, he continues to hoot his territorial call with her faintly being heard as well. They stayed close to the nest area out of sight for over an hour and as daylight arrived (not seen on video) the calls were heard going off into the distance away from the nest.
FYI: Hoots were heard approximately every 20 seconds until the end of the video.
