◾A Ukrainian officer, who laid down his arms, said that the soldiers had problems with food and ammunition. But instead of solving problems, the command threatened the disgruntled militants with a tribunal and executions:

- We knew from the beginning that we were thrown as cannon fodder...

- We were given 4 clips, they said for three or four days. But we were at these positions for almost a month...

-He (commander) threatened that he could even shoot us, with the machine guns that were there.

- I see that this situation should end calmly, we should drop our weapons and stop fighting.
